Mike MaimoneLeading the ragtime-rock trio Mutts, Maimone is one of Chicago’s most prolific front men and session musicians. Since 2008 Maimone has written and released 4 albums and 4 EPs on his own label, and contributed to over two dozen releases from other Midwest artists. The most recent LP from Mutts, Object Permanence, is their third consecutive independent release to chart on the CMJ Top 200 for radio airplay among other distinctions. artist music     NO COVER. The classic silent film, Safety Last will be accompanied by Chicago's leading theater organist and president of both the Chicagoland Theatre Organ Society and Silent Film Society of Chicago, Dennis Scott, on the Acorn's magnificent Barton Theater Organ! Safety Last is a romantic comedy starring Harold Lloyd. It includes one of the most famous images from the silent film era: Lloyd clutching the hands of a large clock as he dangles from the outside of a skyscraper above moving traffic.

Donna BlueEmmy Award-winning Donna Blue Lachman has been improvising in theater for longer than most of her students have been alive. Come join us in our New Leaf Lounge for a night of improvisation featuring local, seasoned performers and curated and directed by Donna Blue, playwright, actor and a (sometimes-good) improviser. Willing participants can play along in this highly interactive and entertaining evening.

Dinner Option: BYOF! The New Leaf Lounge is ready for entertaining! So come early and bring your own picnic and enjoy the show!  Front bar will be open. (Please do not bring your own alcohol). The fun starts at 7:30PM ET

The Acorn in Three Oaks Michigan is a live performance venue where audiences experience everything from concerts to traditional theater to children’s series, weekly open mics and community based educational programs. We explore new ways to cater to, delight and entertain our audiences.
