Monologue
Ponies is a cross between a one-person play, a
Martin/Lewis comedy team, improvisation, performance art and story telling,
all in one.
Jim Jarvis and Scott Woldman tell
stories about their lives.
Jim Jarvis has been an actor
and improviser in Chicago for the past 11
years. He's trained at The Second City Conservatory and The ImprovOlympic
in both long-and-short form improvisation. He appeared in hundreds of
shows as one of the original ensemble members of Inside Vladimir. In
addition to his improv work, Jim has appeared in numerous Chicago stage
productions including: the Jeff Nominated Some Voices, To Kill A
Mockingbird, Run For Your Wife.
Scott Woldman has been an improviser, actor, screenplay writer and poet in
the Windy City for eight years. The founding member of the three-person
improv ensemble Stat, and a former member of The Black Sheep, Scott has
performed in hundreds of shows around the country including the U.S. Improv
Festival, The Big Stinkn' Improv Festival and the Chicago Improv Festival.
Scott can currently be seen as Ahem and Giblett the Dwarf in the Free
Associates production of Frodo-A-Go-Go. An accomplished poet, Scott is a
regular fixture at the Green Mill's weekly Poetry Slam Competition and was
a member of Chicago's National Poetry Slam Team.
This improv duo, fresh from performing at the Chicago Improv Festival, will
surprise you with humorous monologues. shows will be Friday July 11 and Saturday July 12
